Our Detachment is named in honor of Cpl. Bradley T. Arms, USMC, who was a Charlottesville, Virginia native. After graduation from Covenant High School, he attended the University of Georgia for two years. Soon after, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, completed Recruit Training at Parris Island, SC in September 2002 and upon graduation was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class. In August 2004, elements of his unit, the 4th Combat Engineer Bn., 4th Marine Division were deployed to Iraq. In October 2004, Bradley was promoted to Corporal and on November 19, 2004, Cpl. Bradley T. Arms, was killed in action in Anbar Province, Iraq during the battle for Fallujah.
